Dr. Gianni Pirelli is a Licensed Psychologist in New Jersey and New York. His experience includes work in a number of inpatient and outpatient settings, including hospitals, psychiatric centers, and correctional facilities. He currently maintains an independent practice (www.gpirelli.com), whereby he conducts a wide range of clinical and clinical-forensic evaluations in a variety of criminal and civil legal matters.
Dr. Pirelli’s research has been cited in amicus briefs to the United States Supreme Court and to the New York Court of Appeals. He has numerous publications, including the forthcoming books, “The Ethical Practice of Forensic Psychology: A Casebook” (Oxford University Press) and The Behavioral Science of Firearms: Implications for Mental Health, Law, and Policy. He has taught over 40 post-doctoral, graduate, and undergraduate courses at John Jay, Montclair State, and Fairleigh Dickinson University.
